About Us
Letter from the founders
Dear Families,
Back in 1998, when our own children were young, we searched for a school that would nurture their strengths and help them with their challenges. We wanted a place where kids could do more than memorize facts—a place where they could truly learn to think. When we couldn’t find that kind of school, we took a leap of faith and created our own.
From the beginning, our dream was to create more than a school; we envisioned a true community where high academic standards were matched with an unwavering commitment to nurturing the whole child. Today, at TCFL, students are immersed in the joy of learning through hands-on activities, real-life projects, meaningful conversations, collaboration, and the freedom to make mistakes and try again—because that is how real learning happens.
Over the past 28 years, we have continuously evolved, staying at the forefront of educational innovation. When you walk onto our campus, you’ll feel it—the energy, the excitement, the deep sense of belonging. It’s why so many visitors say, “Wow! I love that the students seem so happy and involved here!”
If you believe in a brighter, bolder future for education, we invite you to visit our campus and experience firsthand why TCFL is the home of the visionaries.
Warmly,
Carla and Tami

Vision
We nurture the visionaries, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow.
Mission
At TCFL, we spark curiosity, nurture self-awareness, and empower students to become autonomous, lifelong learners. Through a dynamic culture of inquiry and collaboration, we equip them with the tools to shape their future and make a lasting impact.
Our Shared Understanding of High Quality Learning
Learning at TCFL is an engaging, dynamic process in which curiosity is cultivated and knowledge is constructed through inquiry, experimentation, and working with real life experiences. By solving problems, taking risks and embracing mistakes, learners develop their creativity and critical thinking skills. Learning is a social process that happens through play, discussion, collaboration, and discovery with others. Learners flexibly apply knowledge to new situations, think metacognitively, self-assess, reflect and set goals for growth.
Leadership Team
Our leadership team protects the values that define our community while helping it continue to grow and evolve. With decades of shared experience, they work to ensure that curiosity, belonging and meaningful learning remain at the heart of everyday life at school, inspiring every child to think, wonder, and thrive.
