Letter from our Founders

Dear Families,

Back in 1998, when our own children were young, we searched for a school that would nurture their strengths and help them with their challenges.  We wanted a place where kids could do more than memorize facts – a place where they could really learn to think. When we couldn’t find that kind of school, we took a leap of faith and created our own. It was a daunting journey, filled with uncertainty—but also an unshakable belief that we could redefine education for our children.

At TCFL, you'll find students immersed in the messy joy of learning, busy with hands-on activities and real-life projects. They're having meaningful conversations, working together, making mistakes and trying again – because that's how real learning happens.

From the beginning, our dream was to create more than a school; we envisioned a true community—where high academic standards were matched with an unwavering commitment to nurturing the whole child. And because of this, our school resonated with families who, like us, longed for something different, something meaningful.

As we grew, so did our vision. Over the past 26 years we have continuously evolved, staying at the forefront of educational innovation. Our teachers take part in weekly inquiry based learning, ensuring they have the tools to inspire and challenge today’s learners in our rapidly changing world.

When you walk onto our campus, you’ll feel it—the energy, the excitement, the deep sense of belonging. It’s why so many visitors say, “Wow! I love that the students seem so happy and involved here!”

If you believe in a brighter, bolder future for education, we invite you to visit our campus and experience firsthand why TCFL is the home of the visionaries.

Warmly,

Carla and Tami
