Head of School

In 1998, when we couldn't find a school that nurtured our children’s strengths and encouraged deep thinking, we decided to create our own. At TCFL, students engage in the joyful messiness of learning through hands-on activities and collaboration, understanding that mistakes are part of growth. Our vision was to build a true community, balancing high academic standards with a commitment to nurturing the whole child. After 26 years of innovation, our campus buzzes with energy and belonging. We invite you to visit and discover why TCFL is a home for visionaries.

Shiselle Lopez - Elementary School Principal

Shiselle
My passion for education started in childhood when I’d teach my stuffed animals
math and share interesting facts. From an early age, I knew I
wanted to work with children to spark their curiosity and help them make a positive impact on the world. I began my career while studying at the University of Delaware, gaining experience with students from preschool to 5th grade. After 19 years abroad, I returned to the Dominican Republic in 2010 and joined TCFL in 2012. Over the past 12 years, I’ve grown from a 5th-grade teacher to the Early Childhood and Elementary Director. In my role, I strive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive as a confident, creative thinker, and I am dedicated to supporting parents throughout their children’s educational journey.
