NEASC Re-Accreditation Journey

This past April, The Community for Learning welcomed a team from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) as part of our re-accreditation process. The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on our growth and receive valuable feedback to guide our continued improvement.

NEASC helps schools maintain high standards of educational excellence through a comprehensive review of teaching, learning, leadership, and school culture.

During their time on campus, the team observed 34 lessons across all divisions and recognized the strength of our inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning. They highlighted the critical and creative thinking taking place inside our classrooms, the clear learning structures that help students take ownership of their learning, as well as the strong use of formative assessment, reflection, and goal setting.

They also acknowledged TCFL’s curriculum, professional collaboration among teachers, and all the learning experiences that foster student voice, choice, and real-world application through initiatives such as Passion Pursuit and Project Day.

Perhaps the most meaningful recognition was of our school community. They described TCFL as a place where students are seen, heard, respected, and where they experience a genuine sense of belonging.
